Myths tell of giants walking among humans, a flood, and alien visitors bestowing gifts.  Humans in turn structured ceremonies to appease or invite the gods.   The religious and spiritual gather today for similar reasons.

Let’s suppose not all events described are imaginary, but possess consistent detail and narrative.  If so, can we systematically describe and seek typological similarities across time and space?

We know the battle of Thermopylae, whether we’ve read ancient Greek and Persian texts, visited the site, or watched modern reenactments. Let’s test for the same in the unseen.
